Islamic Thinking: Beautiful Description of the Prophet (SAW)

islamicthinking:

Muhammad, peace be upon him, was a shy, reticent man who lived among his people with such high moral character they called him al-Amîn - the Trustworthy.

The Prophet’s unique physical appearance, his high character and willingness to sacrifice for others, are often at the essence of any…

“Let’s develop this characteristic - Instead of being jealous and envious of others, why don’t we try to be happy for them. Happy for their blessings even though we don’t have the exact blessings as them.

Jealousy and envy are indications that our heart is sick. One way to combat it is to always make good du’aas for them and be extra kind to them even though you may not like it. Not by justifying

ourselves on why we are less fortunate than the other so-called ‘fortunates,’ and do nothing to improve ourselves.

Remember that our Creator is The Most Fair of all. If you want more, be more generous and Allah will give you more. If you want more, be grateful and Allah will increase it for you. And remember that Allah knows what’s best for us more than ourselves, so we are where we are because it is best for us.

No need to be jealous of others’ blessings and indulge in self pity. What we need to do is work towards righteousness and help each other to achieve our ultimate goal - Jannatul Firdaus.

And Allah knows best” - Maz

“The Telekung Project is a project initiated to help waqaf telekung preserve it cleanliness. The aim is to provide a comfortable and khusyuk prayer for muslimah”
A quick story on this wonderful project is that it started when her daughter asked how dirty the telekungs were at the surau where they stopped while going back to their hometown. At first, she comforts her daughter that they’ll come back and change new ones, little that she know her daughter was very persistent in having it all replaced/washed. It finally brought a light bulb moment to her when she heard a scholar said that a good deed should never be dismissed, as the reward is immense, even little ones (MasyaAllah). Hence ever since October 2010, they’ve started collecting the dirty telekungs and replace it with new ones while they wash/sow the ones they’ve collected before returning it.
So, do support The Telekung Project ;)
